Hotel Chantelle

On the weeknights, i love this chill spot. Good dancing, great dj's and good drinks.

Such an easy place for a great night out! Hotel Chantelle has an amazing decor with an awesome covered rooftop bar. We visited on a Friday night when it was kinda drizzly and the covered bar area was a huge plus.

I missed their HH but I hear it goes until 9pm and is half off all drinks. They have a really great variety of standard drinks and speciality cocktails which was makes it even better for happy hour. I arrived there around 10:30 on a Friday and there was no line and the crowd was fun. Regular priced drinks are a bit much but where can you ever get a reasonably priced drink in NYC anymore anyway?

What I'm trying to say is: go here, youll love it, and I will be back.

Our friends and I came here for a Sunday brunch it was sweet. Loved the seating, the decor and the service. The food was simple and delightful. It was perfect for having an intimate time with friends and loved the live music. Definitely made this NYC trip amazing complete with rooftop love. Just loved the combination of everything.

I have never written a review for a place before, but after reading all of the negative comments below, and after having had a wonderful evening there last night, I felt like I owed it to them to write a positive review.  My boyfriend and I went to Hotel Chantelle last night and used a Gilt City voucher I found online which was amazing.  Our waitress was so helpful and friendly and did not give us any attitude over using this voucher.  Based on her recommendations, we ordered some tasty cocktails and I even received a free drink after she realized she brought me the Saints and Ginners  instead of the Jack Daniels whiskey and honey drink I originally ordered.  I did not even realize I was drinking the wrong drink and did not care because the Saints and GInners was so delicious, and I even liked it better than the Jack one.  In addition to the fabulous cocktails, we had steak tartare, which was excellent, veal milanese, which was enormous and so flavorful and crispy, and snapper, also savory and a healthy piece of fish.  The rooftop was hopping, it was a gorgeous night in NYC, the staff were incredibly friendly, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a fun evening of good food, cocktails, and atmosphere

Cool place to get a drink downtown, and on a nice evening, the glass ceiling retracts to open it to the night air.
